TEXNIC® Material Exhibition NEW WAVE

Questioning familiar ways

This past June, TEXNIC® held the most experimental exhibition in its brand history in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.
More than just a showcase for new fabrics, it was a moment to share with visitors why TEXNIC® chose this path. The starting point was not the material itself, but the spirit behind it.

“Is this truly the best way?” “Could there be a better structure?”

TEXNIC® questioned the assumptions long accepted in the textile industry.
These questions pushed beyond simple recycling, inspiring a new perspective on the entire structure — including technology, design, and sensory experience.
In striving to transcend existing limits, we sought better methods through constant questioning and experimentation, setting new standards along the way.

Six signature fabrics — and the philosophy within

At the center of the exhibition space were six signature fabrics that TEXNIC® has researched and developed.
Each fabric went beyond simply emphasizing functionality; they embodied both technical experimentation and emotional depth.

HIGHFIVE’s balanced density, EMBLUX’s three-dimensional patterns and sculptural qualities, MONOMAX’s fully mono-material structure, NEOFORCE’s innovative yarn approach, and the climate-responsive materials proposed by MOONSTONE and WINDCORE — each told its own story.

Next to the fabrics, digital videos and images were displayed, offering visitors a chance to imagine how these materials could be used.
Visitors were able to do more than just touch the fabrics; they experienced virtual looks and spatial concepts envisioned through these materials simultaneously.

Technology experienced through the senses

This exhibition was designed for visitors to directly experience TEXNIC® materials through sight, touch, and sound.
Guests could feel the texture and density of the fabrics by hand and visually explore their structure and potential applications through digital displays.

A sound performance video, created using actual sounds generated from the fabrics, was particularly notable as an attempt to translate the story of technology into a new sensory language.

Meanwhile, the books and videos placed in one section of the exhibition were not merely informational materials.
They served as an extension of TEXNIC®’s journey and future direction, acting as mediums to convey the brand’s philosophy — not through mere numbers, but through texture and structure.

Break the Norm — Toward a new standard

TEXNIC® constantly asks:

“Why does it have to be done this way?” “Is there a better approach?”

Our answer lies in designing technology and sensory experience together, and in continually pushing beyond the boundaries between industry and art.

This exhibition was the most honest expression of that philosophy. Our materials are not merely tools for reducing waste.
They are TEXNIC®’s way of breaking through the overlooked limits of industry, proposing better structures, and setting new standards for sensory experience.

The journey ahead

This exhibition was not a conclusion, but a starting point for new questions.
TEXNIC® will continue to challenge the “obvious” and push beyond the familiar.

We invite you to follow us as we keep creating new material stories — shaped by technology, sensation, and structure.
